Springtime Fairy ATC

Hello Thursday and welcome AP blog followers!
Time for my first post this month using our partner product-M-D Hobby&Craft -Aluminum Metal Sheets.

After cutting my sheet to size with tin snips,I painted the metal with DecoArt Americana Spa Blue acrylic paint and covered the edges with Washi tape.
Next I  cut out a fairy and friend from AlteredPages collage sheet- Little Fairies-AP1554
The graphic was fancy cut , then glued to black cardstock and the cutout again, leaving a bit of the black around the edges for dimension. Next I coated the fairy and friend with DecoArt DuraClear Gloss varnish.

My next step was to color my AlteredPages Flower Trim from green to a matching blue.

Time to audition my pieces

  My finished Springtime Fairy atc!
I love how the sun shines through the metal sheet and creates that neat design on the table!

Wow, love that metal background...will have to try it out. Of course I would want to use it as a stencil and also for printmaking because that's how my art brain thinks...

Whoo Hoo for that cool metal sheet. I was wondering if that product could be rusted.I agree with Linda it could also make a unique stencil. I'd like it with molding paste. See what you do to us Jackie? You have our creative minds spinning with ideas. Proof of a good post.

The painted metal filigree makes such a wonderful background for this fabulous frolicsome pair (well done on the fussy-cutting - rather you than me!) - delicious!
