'beautiful adventure' Journal page

More journal play today~
Stamping out one of Lynne Perrella's ladies, I cut off her bottom and added a mermaid tail fin from Laura Carson

This all started out when I pulled a jar of paint out to use and found that it had turned thick! Well, it was still pliable as I pulled it from the jar, and I could not bring myself to throw it away! Hoarder!

So what I did was take those blobs of paint and spread them onto my page for texture.
here you can see the beautiful mica pigment that came out of the blob once i added some water and pulled the color across the page
I added some circles I cut with my new die and could not bear to throw away the wax paper rings that came out with my cuts,so I added those as well, topped with Liquidglass
stenciled here with some clear embossing paste using sealife stencils. Also added chipboard seaweeds and sea life strip across the bottom.
finally,I added my 'beautiful adventure' die cuts
Hoping your Sunday morning is as beautiful as mine is
thank you for your visit

What a delight your beautiful mermaid page is dear Jackie!

My goodness, Jackie! What have you done???! Well, you've stolen my crafty heart for one thing! And you have done what all the rest of us hoarders, uh, I mean frugal crafters only DREAM we will do. Like use up that thickened paint left in the bottom of the bottle so many might just toss. But NO, NOT US!! Well, you have made a masterpiece around that blob of paint, my dear! What a fabulous under sea dream of a journal page! I love the combined LP stamp with the mermaid tail stamp--aren't you the cleverest one of all! And the clear Texture Paste through your seaweed stencil and those glassined wax paper circles (more good schtuff!) are just the perfect touches to your journal page! Way to go, my friend! Sending warm hugs!

Jackie, it is an amazing page, love the way the thick paint reacts, on the page, making it look like waves and the circles bobbles adding to to feel of moving water. Your mermaid is so beautiful, a great idea, to mix the two stamps .
Happy Easter week to you, dear. xoxo

Beautiful, Jackie! I loved reading about the dry paint and it's so cool that you were able to use it anyway - the blobs are super cool and who doesn't love some extra bling from mica? :)
Your combination of the stamp and graphic to make the mermaid is really clever. Thank you for joining our April colour challenge at Rubber Dance ♥

Love those colours together! Very crafty how you replaced the lady's "bottom" (LOL!) with the fish tail to turn her into a mermaid. Lovely textures too!

Jackie...you had me at the TEAL colors!!! :) This art journal page is awesome! I also love Lynne Perrella's stamps. They are very quirky and detailed. Love them! Ingenious to combine the mermaid tail to the lady stamp. So clever. I love your BLOBS of paint, too. I'm like you...if it's still usable at all; find a way to use it! :) Hoaders?? Nah..... I love Liquid Glass, too. Very cool use for it on the bubbles. I also love the die cuts. They add dimension and a definite "atmosphere" for your mermaid to be swimming around in. LOVE IT!

One of my favorite colours! This colour always reminds me of the ocean in Australia, it has this bright turquoise colour that I never tire of. It's amazing what you did with this piece, how you managed to use that thick paint to your advantage, and all the bits and pieces you added. You have such a creative mind! Love the circles!
