Gorgeous designs...right??
these fabulous ArtDeco Stencils were designed by Gwen Lafleur for StencilGirl products.
I asked Riley to build me a shelf to get the purifier up and out of the way and we decided it would be best in this corner
and seeing how we were redesigning our home...
I felt it was time to add a bit of bohemian, groovyness to our Mid Century Style.
and while playing with my Gwen Stencils,
I said,WOW! Wouldn't these look soooo cool in the kitchen?
This might be hard to tell from here but I wanted the colors to kind of flow with my lamp that is in the livingroom,as our floor plan is open.
And these were my instruments of choice!
Gwen's stencils from her
(which I cut into thirds to be able to stencil easier with)
also used were
Chalky Finish~Primitive,Victorian
Americana~Neutral Grey
MultiSurface Satin~Dark Scarlet
and just because I have really fallen in love with Gwen's Art Deco Borders stencil, I sat down the other night and created this art journal page in my journal Gwen gave me for Christmas.
As well as the Art Deco Borders stencil I also used some of the Chiyogami Paper from the Japanese Paper Sampler~Chiyogami Buffet Pack, also available in Gwen's online store.
I found this awesome quote by Diane Keaton and well,it sums me up to who I am today!
Thanks so much for your visit!
Again, I have to tell you how much it makes my day to read your lovely comments!

Gorgeous. I love the way you used the stencils in the kitchen. I'm sure your head is spinning with ideas in other rooms to stencil?!?!
Terrific how you used the stencils - that looks so amazing and your wonderful Art Journal page is fantastic as well. What a fab quote ... speaks to me.

Love love love, you are amazing!
This is so fun Jackie! I love the new boho vibe you've got going here... lol. Looks awesome! And that's such a great journal page - so cool to see you using the journal!
Oh my giddy aunt (as my Ozzy friends would say), these stencils are AMAZING and you have wored complete magic with them, wow, wow, wow!!! I have just been googling like crazy to see whether they are available in the UK, but no luck so far. You American girls are all so lucky with the stuff you can get! Wonderful work both on your wall and in your journal!
What fun to use the stencils in the home, and you did such a beautiful job! Super cool🎨
I love how you stenciled the wall. And that journal page!! I have all these stencils and now the wheels are turning. Beautiful Jackie!
You made the own wallpaper. I stared goggle-eyed at that wall. I think your neighbor have not the same!
Such glorious stencils, Jackie, and I LOVE how you've used them. They look so perfectly you in your own home (and skin). Well done, my terrifically artsy friend! xo
Oh Jackie, what a brilliant finish on the wall, it looks wonderful! I think age tells us that you might as well be happy in your skin cos you're not going to get a new one anytime soon Lol! Loving the journal page too. I just need a push now to get some of my pages finished. Thought you might like the dog one, those two images just go so well together. Happy creative weekend, Angela xXx
Totally awesome stencils and I love the patterns you created with them! You're so brave stenciling directly on your wall - I usually hyperventilate using stencils on my pages (unless it's just for background texture) - it turned out brilliantly! Loving that quote too - perhaps that's our consolation price when we hit middle age!
Well it's official...you can do anything! That wall is so unique and YOU! Enjoy your journal...super so far. I love that quote too.
How awesome! Love your decorating style and the Art Deco feel of your journal page!

Wow, I saw this lovely decoration on IG, such a beautiful design and gorgeous colours you choose, Jackie. Well done!
Love the purple shades and very cool idea. it was also nice to see if incorporated into your art work too!
Oh dear, you are a master in using these big stencils, and make it look fantastic even on your wall, Jackie. Wonderfully done , so special with the colors re mirrored in your lampshade.
And also love how you used it in your card- fantastic art work, and stencils.
Hugs to you, and happy Weekend- XxOo
ooh, that is my kind of wall :-) The materials you use from Gwen's shop are gorgeous, but you manage to make it really awesome every time you use something. Any shop would be lucky to have you on board to show all that's possible with these materials. And that journal page .... What can I say...? I love it! the colours, the composition, the words, everything. You're a real creative genius. Oh yeah! Have a lovely creative week dear Jackie!
Jackie I am enthralled with your redecorating! You have certainly made those stencils work for you. What fun it is to have Gwen's stencils to look at when you are in the kitchen doing a different kind of creative work. Great use of the stencils.
Wow, your Bohemian decor is just fabulous, Jackie... what a glorious way to use those amazingly intricate stencil designs, and your colour choices are so fabulous - a real jewel look to those royal reds, maroons and purples. Sorry to be so slow returning the visit and answering your question (below!) - I've been away again, so I'm on catch up yet again!

The Coffee Rings are a Seth Apter die, and when I cut myself a few of them last year for a journalling page, I did it all out of one piece of white card, so there was this lovely piece of card with lots of rings cut out leftover afterwards. That's what I used as my stencil on the first tag, and then just stuck down the gesso'd "stencil" onto the second tag. Happy crafty spending!!
The wall stencils look amazing. I love the pink journal page! Stencils rock! Off to look at my stencil collection. Inspired.
so much loveliness here! i love what you did to the wall. and the journal page is just yummy. xo
