Happy Monday and welcome to Fall~like it or not!
We have been busy putting up things for the season and finishing up my canning of tomatoes and grapes, and picking gourds,Indian corn and pumpkins and putting those all out for sale.
In between all of that,I have managed to find some studio time to play with the latest craze
Artist Trading Coins!
Have you heard about them? I never knew until I saw my art sister,Kim Collister post hers on Facebook and I was completely smitten! Kim's are fabulous,as is all of her art!
Well,I knew right away,I had to have some of these as well to make my own little pieces of artwork to share! So here they are...
I did take time out to vote in the primaries-and look at the sticker they gave us,Honoring 100 years of Women's right to vote!
You go girls!
Exercise that right!
back to the coins,
You see these are Artist"Trading"Coins. The key word here being Trading. I was so excited making these that I worked both sides of the coins. My Riley asked me where do you put your name? I said, oops!no room for name or other sharing info! I guess I'll keep these and make another batch! LOL
I bought these from Kristen over at Retro Cafe Art,but you can also get them at Joggles,or even make your own!
The size is 2.5" diameter and can be cut from any substrate, like chipboard, watercolor or mixed media paper.
The neat thing about when I bought them from Retro Cafe Art Gallery is they also sell stencils to use to add more design to your mini art works.
More pictures,and close ups...
for a few of the coins,I photocopied some of my own art work and printed them out small, but large enough to cover one side of the coin.
A bit of crackling on this one
The possibilities are endless!
The other great thing about these is they are so small,it takes no time to make fun, mini artworks!
The little box I house these in is something else I bought from RCA years ago and just now decided to use!Came in handy for a sweet little holder of my coins!(the ones for keeping, not trading) LOL
Anyway,I love these coins and have just received my second order and when I sit to create on these,I will do a step out for you,so stay tuned!
Hoping your week is full of creativity!
Peace & Love

Seems I'm always running late to the party. I have been seeing these coins on my internet friends who live in the UK and Europe. They are BIG there, and are just now catching on here. Yours are out of this world. When I voted in my primary in August, I didn't get a lovely sticker like yours. You put yours to excellent use. I'm in love with your coins. They are all so colorful, so classy. Each is truly a genuine piece of great art.
Ok, I am drooling over these beauty. Love love to bits, these are so your style, colorful, messy and meaningful. And I am so in love with the box!!!
Hi Jackie,
Thanks so much for the visit to mine. The coins are fabulous and I am loving your beautiful vibrant style of art.

Jackie, these are so fun! I love all the bright colors and details on them!
It sounds like you have been very busy! I love this time of year, especially since this past summer was so awful with the heat. Thanks for asking about Tucker, he is such a little mischief maker right now...he is 10 months and I guess from now til 12 months he is going thru his teenage phases! He also has been naughty thinking 5:20 am is time for everyone to wake up! LOL It's a good thing he has a sweet side and snuggles so nice in bed at night. I really do love him sooooo much! <3
Fabulous set of ATCs here! I love how you decorated each one, and the vivid colours and designs. Joyful!
These are incredible and so inspiring, Jackie! What a feast for the eyes - I'm totally in love with your coins and the holder with the houses as well! They look fantastic together! I'll go check if I have a 2.5" die to cut some to try! Thank you for the inspiration! :)))
Dear Jackie
As I read about your canning I'm thinking it can't be that far away before we are doing the same and today we just planted our pumpkin seeds!
I love your little coins so beautifully, and inspirationally coloured. Each one is different and unique and I love that you made the gorgeous box to house them all.
Well done girl!
I'm so happy that you can even do all this artwork now having been so handicapped some months ago. Makes us feel to blessed that these problems can be healed.
Sending love and hugs to you,

Sorry Jackie I guess it wasnt you that left the comment, but so glad I clicked to wrong link-got to enjoy your pretties LOL-Sue
Somehow I missed this post but I am glad I found it! Wow, girl! These coins and their little home are AMAZING! I haven't gotten into the craze as I am slow at catching onto trends. haha, that goes for clothes too.
Each one of your coins is truly a work of art.I am amazed that you can fit so much detail onto such a small space. Am I right in thinking that these are not actual money coins? I assume you are altering a chipboard coin or something similar. I am very much looking forward to seeing your tutorial on how you make these.
Kate
PS. Did you ever find a good Apple Kuchen recipe?
Oh Jackie your coins are looking amazing, each one a little Artwork. The box you made for them is also wonderful designed. This new round format is a new challenge for us creative girls.
I like that much and next time I will try it myself too.
Dear Greetings and a happy weekend.
Sabine
How did I miss this post? So gorgeous! I love every single one and the display box as well. You are mega talented my Tribe Sister. I want to do this. So awesome!
