Soul Food Class and other musings...

Seems I have not been posting as much, but that does not mean I am not creating my art. Quite the contrary!
I am finally taking some time to enjoy some of the online classes I had signed up for. My muse and I have been quite busy and today I would like to share a few of the pieces that are now finished.

To begin with, this is my my Folk Art Mermaid that was inspired by my Soul Food class with Mystele.
This was such a freeing class and one I am so happy that I signed up for!
I do hope the pictures allow you to see her beauty~she really is gorgeous with all of her color and textures.

I've yet to give her a proper name, any thoughts?

       Next a few journal pages...

I thought for sure I had a stencil with bamboo- turns out- nope, never got one, so I made my own with a wood burning tool , to complete this page.

This is a card I made for my sister Jayne's birthday- she really likes my dragonflies.

A journal page for a friend...

I used Jessica Sporn's  "Namaste" stencil here as well as every beautiful color that was in my reach!

Finally, I'm spreading the Love today with a tag for a swap I belong to on Google+

thanks so much for your visit- I truly appreciate each and every one of you who stop for a look,or leave some blog comment love!
may your days be filled with sweet creativity and lots of love! xo Jackie ")

Almost rang you Thursday but I thought, nah, don't interrupt the making of that dynamic-creative mermaid. Who I see as Isabelle. The details on her are divine as she is...glad you showed close up shots. The Namaste paintng is rich with design and color. Love those birds of course. And I have noticed how generous you are to share your art with others. Happy painting Jackie...thrilled to know you are creating like a mad woman. Cheerios-Darlene

I love how creative you've been, Jackie. It's great to blog and share with others, but it can get in the way of being more productive so much as I love to catch up with what you've been doing, I'm really glad that you're not posting as much if it means you're involved with classes and creating. I love your mermaid. I'm a great fan of mermaids always and she is sublime. The class sounds good too. Fabulous, colourful journal pages too and your dragon flies - well, I'm definitely with your sister on that one - love them!xxx

What a glorious post, Jackie, with new wonders at every twitch of the scrolling mousepad!

I adore your folkart mermaid - the textures are just wonderful, and the journal pages are so full of colour and life - amazing! What a beautiful dragonfly too... So many delights.

How fab that you are taking the time to actually create and enjoy the online courses (I have some I should be doing the same with) - and the results are fabulous too.
