Gecko Galz 24 tags of Christmas

                     ~Merry Christmas to all~

On this Christmas day,I am delighted to share with you the last tag in the
24 Tags of Christmas,Gecko Galz Challenge.

I am also excited to announce that,I am part of the creative design team for the
 2016 term with Gecko Galz!
Hope to see you back here January 1,2016 for my first official post.
Now on to my tag...

First thing to do is start with a clean working space!
(If you saw my last post, you understand this comment!)hehee
Start with a large manila tag, and adding color using watered down DecoArt acrylic paints and then set aside to dry.

Once paint is dried, stencil using embossing ink  and sprinkle with embossing powder.
Heat till set.
Apply generous coat of Distress Crackle Paint over tag.
When crackle is close to dry, spritz with Starburst spray and mist with some water;moving tag around to allow color to seep in.
Speed the drying and crackling process with heat gun.
Next I chose my graphic which is from the
Gecko Galz Nature's Christmas Collage Set and then tore the edges and inked with Distress Stains

Stamp out Happy Holidays greeting on parchment and emboss.
Tear and ink edges.

Next the edges and corners were embossed with Frantage, allowing random flecks to adhere.
A strip of vintage edging was added using heavy glue.

Assemble the elements of the tag by using pop dots for dimension.
The Gecko Galz deer graphic was placed and the greeting added underneath.
Small decorated twig pieces were tucked in and then finally a piece of vintage lace added for hanging.

I'm always amazed by how many different techniques you use on such a small space. It doesn't surprise me one bit that you are a member of the design team. There's a lot to learn from you!
Hope your Christmas was wonderful, and wishing you lots of creativity, fun, and happiness in the new year! Looking forward to seeing your new posts :-)

Wow, Jackie! How gorgeous! I love the blues and your background is incredible...seems a shame to cover it up! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and are excited for the New Year to bring you many blessings! Did you get my e-mail with my address? If you are like me you are still trying to dig out! Big hugs!

Wow - what an amazing mixed media tag, Jackie - the frosty blues are fabulous and I love the image too, though as Sara says I'm sorry to lose the background!!

In answer to your question - yes, definitely more book niches on the way! I always meant to do more after the one in January, but somehow never got round to it... so yes, more book covers, more book niches, more book pages - just generally more books I hope!!

Wishing you and yours a wonderful 2016!
