I do believe Spring has finally arrived here in our neck of the woods! We have already had two mornings of frost on the crocus,so fingers crossed,Spring is here to stay!
I love these colors-so bright and cheerful-especially after a gloomy winter!
1.)I started out with a wooden plaque from the thrift store, removed the metal pieces from it and sanded it down.
2.)Coat the plaque with white gesso
3.)Using Jessica Sporn's Stencil~Namaste' , scrape clear embossing paste through with a palette knife.
I used embossing paste as I wanted the shine it yields.
4.)While the paste was still tacky, spray several coats of Lindy's Stamp Gang Starburst Sprays in ~Magnolia Magenta Gold,Hi Maintenance Magenta,Wild Honeysuckle Coral
as well as Tattered Angels~Polka Dot Pink
5.)On separate paper, I stamped IndigoBlu~Wild Flowers with Black Archival ink-let dry
6.)When dry, I tattered the edges of the stamped image paper
7.)Next spray small amounts of Lindy's~California Poppy Gold,Glory of the Seas Gold,Bells of Ireland Green,Magnolia Magenta Gold,Hi Maintenance Magenta,Wild Honeysuckle Coral
and also Tattered Angels~Polka Dot Pink sprays
in a palette to use as watercolors to paint in background and flowers.
8.)Once dry, center and glue down stmped piece leaving edges up and furled slightly
9.)My mini dragonflies are made from scanning my Tim Holtz~Layered Dragonfly Die,one I had previously made and for another project, and printing this out smaller.
10.)Fancy cut and add DecoArt Clear Crackle to these before gluing into place.
11.) Add sentiment if desired.
These colors are as vivid as they look and speak so much of Spring and new beginnings to me!
Thanks for viewing and hope you enjoyed your visit!

Fabuloso, my friend - I can feel spring all over that wonderful piece.
I am so glad there you have the spring. And it´s easy to see how happy you are about all of lowers and beautiful colors. you show your feelings in your art. Nice. I like.
Are you surprised when I am telling you we have snow and I think to ski tomorrow?

I can feel it growing! Lovely:)
It is a gloomy cold day here and it seems like spring is never coming! We were out and about and commenting on how drab everything looks and how nice it will be when spring finally arrives and everything is new and fresh and revitalized. So seeing your bright and cheerful ode to spring when I got home was really good timing and a reminder of what we can look forward to soon. A breathe of spring air! It's beautiful, thanks for sharing!
Jackie, ah, finally I get to visit your lovely, exciting blog! Don't ask...serious internet problemos! As Sandy would say...my computer hates me!
Onto this amazing, colorful, cheerful and gorgeous work of art...Love the texture on the background and the colors throughout! Looks like lots of fun was had making this! It would have been more fun if I was there! :)
Great to hear you are getting spring! We have spring one day, winter the next, and on the third day summer. Don't think we'll get fall 'til November. Are you planting yet? Perhaps not with frost still on your crocus'! I planted zucchini and summer squash and transplanted tomatoes the other day. My baby tomatoes I grew from seed are still puttering along, so I bought some pre-made. Ha! Ha! Big hugs! I hope to catch up with all I've missed here soon!
Stunning vivid springtime colours and I love how the light sparkles on the glossy textures. Definitely spring here in New York... I only hope the same is true of the UK when I get back there next week!
