I was recently playing in one of my journals and I created this page.
This page is one of those that just comes together, with no plans or thoughts of direction ahead of time. I really love when that happens.
This is kinda how it went...
I was rummaging through various vintage papers and found the piece with the words above,"The Last Hope" just perfect!
So,after gluing down all the vintage text onto my page,I used one of my favorite stencils, from Gwen Lafleur,of course!
This stencil is Art Deco Sunburst Background from Gwen's Art Deco Collection, found in her store.
I used DecoArt's Media Primary Blue which I pounced through the stencil with a makeup sponge.
Once this was dry,I mixed glazing medium with Quinachridone Burnt Orange and brushed over the page then wiped back some areas using a baby wipe.
I have had this lady printed for awhile and decided she was ready to be seen. After distressing the edges of my picture,I colored them with Gathered Twig Distress Ink.
I adhered my graphic in the center with Decou-Page medium. Then I gathered some of my dried flowers from my collection and auditioned these in several places.
While pondering placement,I went to my found word bin and the the first thing I pulled out was "Peace on Earth" the other words chose me as well.
When I was happy with placement of the flowers and wording I glued them down, using the Decou-Page as well
words for these times we live in~
May we all radiate peace today and start to heal our world.

Have a happy, peaceful weekend ahead 💝
This page is simply WONDERFUL - you gave so much depth with all your clever techniques
and I adore the additions of natural material so much ! What a peaceful project and just unique - your style always makes me happy Jackie! You are so right, we seem to be on the same wavelength just now... I used natural material today for a page that I prepaired... and guess what? I am sure that we bring peace on earth with our hobby, at least it makes us peaceful and relaxed, am I right?!
I wish you a happy weekend!
We had sun and warmth yesterday and that was amazing - but today all is gone again... cold again- but at least now snow and rain....
♥♥♥
LOVE and PEACE!

Yes, Jackie, this is all around beautiful! Love everything about it!
Great creation Jackie. I love to create with no plans, that way I am normally pleased with the outcome!!. Love the torn square to reveal the image. Fab.
Your beautiful thoughts behind this wonderful creation, makes it even more gorgeous, dear Jackie.
I am impressed about your background for her, truly showing the sun rays, I did not know, the name on it when seeing it on fb- but here you tells me it is sunburst :-)
The beautiful angel/woman shining in her frame, also sending all her love , and healing thoughts, to the poor earth, we are on our way to spoil, in so many ways.
Thank you dear friend for your beautiful creation, and words.
Hugging you from afar Jackie -

A beautiful piece you have created Jackie. The image is so pretty.
Beautiful Jackie, these pieces were always meant to go together and were just waiting for you to find them and combine them in this lovely work of art. Have a lovely creative weekend. Big hugs, Angela xXx
The black edges on the picture of the lady make it look like there's a shadow from the surrounding background, which creates an amazing depth. Another beautiful creation Jackie! It is visible that you had fun :-) That is the best way to create, no plans, no thoughts, just play. That stencil really gives a beautiful effect, and I love all the dry-flowers. And yes, peace and healing is what our world needs badly .... Wishing you a wonderful weekend Jackie, with lots more play :-) Hugs from Belgium ♥
Always a treasure to see your creations and girl you explain what you did wonderfully. Love the image also. Have a great day and later. Xoxox
I love how you show every inch of your creativity Jackie as you not only give with your creativity but also take the time to share the importance of it's being. Something very close to my heart. It's wonderful when creative play evolves into something our inner soul was crying out to develop, we all need such play days. Such a delightful page with words to warm our hearts and give us all hope. So glad to have found you.
Wishing you a wonderful weekend.
Creative Hugs Tracey xx
