Traveling Vellum Journal page

Recently I signed up with a group to participate in a traveling journal from Clearprint.
The gig was to be sent a journal, create a page and send it back to home-base to travel to the next artist. As a thank you,Clearprint sent along an extra journal for me to keep~
Thank YOU Clearprint!

I have to tell you that working on this paper is dreamy!! So soft and smooth;the paint, pens and pencils just glide over the surface! And it takes erasers extremely well! I would not have guessed that you could use all sorts of media on this paper, but I have to tell you,my page is proof!
Besides the micro pens,Stabilo pencils, watercolors and DecoArt acrylics,I even was able to double emboss with my beloved Lindy's embossing powders!
 Here is my page...

When you are out checking out new art supplies, treat yourself to a Field book or Journal- I guarantee you'll love it!!
In case you were about to ask,Clearprint did not pay me to say these things,my own honest evaluation here!

Products used:
Inspirations for my picture are from Gecko Galz~
Stabilo Black Pencil
Micron Black Pens .05 &.01
Medieval Gold
Empress Gold
Splendid Gold
Venetian Gold
Paper Artsy~Metallic Glaze
Angel Wing's Mauve
Silver Moon Orchid
Watercolors in Flesh tones and Magenta

Thanks for visiting~
sending wishes for a beautiful week!!

What a gorgeous journal page! You have really excelled yourself, Jackie. I love the idea of journaling in a little group like this - ever since I read True Colors - one of my favourite inspirational arty crafty books. xx

Sublime! The image is almost translucent! I think I know that type of paper with the vellum finish. My Strathmore journal has something similar and it's incredibly smooth and silky and doesn't warp under wet media like watercolour paper.

That is weird: I really thought I had left a comment here already but I can't find it.... Mind you, lately I'm multitasking so much that I hardly remember what I'm doing ;-) Anyway, that journal sounds like a dream to work in, and the result is great as well. Beautiful golden lady. She reminds me of a lion!

Beautiful lady Jackie. The journal idea sounds great especially as they sent you one too. There are definitely journals and journals and I'm sure you know what I mean. Personally I love the Dylusions one's as the paper is great for all kinds of paint and pens. Many thanks for the visit to mine and happy crafting, Angela x
