Poppies

My inspiration came from a seed catalog which had the most beautiful poppies. Unfortunately, my own poppies never left the infant stage this year- fingers crossed for next year!

Beautiful, vivid poppies, Jackie. I adore poppies, but sometimes they can be difficult to cultivate for some reason: they grow so easily in the fields too! This art work is just glorious, though, a splash of summer colour. Julie Ann xxx

Ooh Jackie I have my dad's vintage poppies. They spread wonderfully once they take off. After the blooming season is over I mow them down. Every year they spread. This painting is great...the color right on- would make a good print for a greeting card. Cheers-Darlene
