Through The Gate ~ reworking a previous piece

A few posts back I made this piece using stencils and stamps.
It was time to rework this piece and get my mixed media on-

                                                              From this...

With the additions of many embossing powders and micas and glitters, some ephemera, lots of more color by way of sprays and even some sand thrown on for added texture...
                                                   to this...

New wording added as well as some found treasures

Close up of the new lady of Useless Miracle-
            renamed as:
                                   THROUGH THE GATE

*****************************************************************************

And for those of you who have inquired about the teal shelving in my studio- here it is in full color and what it looked like when I first found it at an estate sale-thanks for the interest! ")

Thanks for stopping and leaving your nice comments-  be assured, I have read and appreciate each voice! ") Jackie

Wowzer... two great makeovers! I love all the additional texture and shimmer on your canvas - very cool. And am blown away by the transformation of those rather unprepossessing rusty drawers into such a beautiful piece of craft storage furniture - bravo!!

Hi Jackie, thanks for stopping by at mine. Love the background on that canvas, amazing texture and what a find with the cabinet. It's just the perfect thing, drawers and a place to display, what would that cost if you had to buy it new. Good job you have an eye for a bargain and the imagination to see the possibilities it offered.
Have a great weekend and happy crafting, Angela x

Jackie, my dear friends, the texture of that mixed media piece is so amazing, I wish I could feel it with my fingers. And your cupboard, lucky girl, just loved it, and that teal colour made it so cheerful! xoxo Ruth

love your remake of the original piece. Wonderful colours and textures. I love using sand in my paintings too....
And that shelving unit .... oh, wow! Love it so much. Who would've guessed it could turn out like that after seeing the state it was in. You did a great job on it!

Here's the difference...you imagine how the shelving could look and you get the work done...I imagine and wonder who is going to come by and get the work done. ha ha. That is an amazing transformation...plus I had a delightful time looking at all the treasures on the shelves.

Always fun and rewarding to rework a piece...to bring it to a new completion. Love your gate and the wording...plus the colors are perfect for this piece. Cheers-Darlene

Great texture on your Art rework Jackie!
I love the shelving unit, great find and makeover. So fun to to do! My biggest problem I ever have is not the makeover but the hauling of the piece from wherever I find it to its final destination with me:) lol
