Infusion Forest

Recently,I decided it was time to cover some of those journal spreads I really never cared for .
Out came my Infusions from PaperArtsy and
the color love~fest began!

After gessoing over the previous spread, I used DecoArt's white Crackle paste through my tree stencil across the pages, making sure to leave enough space at the top to add my color.
You can see where the paste was applied heavier by the bigger cracks. I wanted a NO-uniformity feel here.

If you have not had a chance to try these Infusions, you really should!

They produce such gorgeous colorations!(is that a word?)

You can check out PaperArtsy's Video here  to learn more about these beauties!
At the top of the page,I let loose with some spritzed water and my first applications of Infusions~using
Orange County & Are You Cerise.
I dried a bit here with the heat gun, then added more color and more water.
Next the pages were held up to let all of that yummy color flow down through the crackle!
I have to admit,I got a bit carried away here as I dried this and then added more color and more water. I just couldn't help myself!
watching how these color particles react with the water is mesmerizing!
After thoroughly soaking and saturating the pages with color and water, I decided it was time to give it a dry and let it rest.
The added gold embossing paste through the sun stencil came as an after thought, which I really did not need and wished I had waited a day to decide on. Anyway,it does look gorgeous out in the sunlight and I am quite pleased with the pages .
Now I will continue to sit on my hands and wait patiently for my new Infusion colors to arrive!

Then...
let the color play begin again!

Pure yumminess! I have colorburst and brusho..but no infusions. I think the walnut ink crystals in the infusions really make them unique and cool and I want some :)

This is so gorgeous!! How heavy is this piece or maybe I am asking how thick is it? Do you finish it with something so the crackle paste doesn't eventually crackle off? I have to go see what these infusions are. Great piece! and the color!!

WOW WOW WOW, Jackie, I am so in love with your infusion forest!! I imagine a fall morning when the sun in streaming through the trees in the forest, carrying those brilliant fiery colours throughout the forest floor! What an amazing piece, full of texture and a vivid palette. Totally loving this one!!

Regarding your question about my 'twin' squirrels. I'm not sure they really are twins, but they arrived to me on the same today, one right after the other. They play together in the tree and leave together in the evening. And most importantly, they look exactly the freaking same! So I just call them the twins. haha. hugs
